International friendlies are a complete waste to me. It's always good seeing your country in action but at what cost?
Over the past few years it seems that Arsenal players go out there and give their all for their country only to return injured. And this usually happens at the most important times of the league. A player who is well known for returning is our captain, Robin Van Persie. Losing him due to an injury at this stage will be detrimental to our current vein of good form.
Injuries at this stage could turn the league table around completely due to the high number of games expected in the December period. At the moment we cant afford to add any more injuries to Wilshere and co at the operating table.
So we go into this weekends games with fingers crossed hoping that all will return with no real problems and ready to face Norwich.
